Bentwaters Aviation Society (BAS) was formed in 2002 by a group of enthusiasts wishing to keep alive the memory and record the history and heritage of the United States Air Force activity at both Bentwaters and Woodbridge.
Members of the society also administer and run the Bentwaters Cold War Museum, which opened to the public on Sunday 27th May 2007. If you can help with information or articles for the museum , we would like to hear from you, please use the contact form to send us your information.
Membership of the society is open for anyone to join, by joining the society you will be actively supporting the museum project, to help preserve the history of the bases of RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge.
We have monthly meetings with guest speakers, slide shows, quiz evenings, and visits to sites of aviation interest.
The society is also involved in the restoration/preservation of any aircraft for the museum, and also possibly in the future its own aircraft.
